Children's Karate This program is a specialized program designed to teach children 5-12 years of age the basics of Matsubayashi Ryu karate. The program combines physical fitness, history of okinawan karate, teamwork, and comradery to aid in a child's physical and social development. Full Contact Fighting Concepts A full contact fighting program that builds on principles of shorin ryu karate and applies them to sparring. Training is designed to develop both individuals who want to further develop their training in Matsubayashi Ryu Karate as well as those who wish to become better full contact fighters. Okinawan Karate A classical study of Matsubayashi Ryu Karate. The curriculum consists of basics, kata, body conditioning, and two man drills. Therapeutic Karate This is a specialized program which targets individuals with "special needs" who can benefit from karate training. This specialized training is open to only children at this time. Its purpose is to assist children who have difficulty managing their behavior use karate as a tool to gain balance and control over their actions. This program can benefit children with both behavior difficulties and developmental disabilities. Please contact Dulaney Sensei for more information and to set up an intake appointment.
